Overview:
Hallmark Bespoke Decorating is proud to be undertaking another outstanding exterior restoration project on a beautiful residential property in Surrey. The property had not seen any decorative maintenance for over a decade, resulting in weathering, wear and various areas requiring both structural and aesthetic repairs.
The Challenge:
After over ten years without maintenance, several parts of the property’s exterior had deteriorated. Alongside roofing repairs, a considerable amount of carpentry restoration was required to bring the property back to its former glory. A comprehensive, long-lasting solution was needed to ensure both the appearance and integrity of the exterior were fully restored.
Our Approach:
We began by carrying out essential roofing work and extensive carpentry repairs across the property. Where timber replacements were necessary, high-grade hardwood was selected for its strength and superior longevity.
In addition to standard carpentry techniques, we utilised the Repair Care System – an advanced, highly effective product designed for long-lasting timber repairs. This specialist resin-based system allows us to rebuild and preserve timber elements that would otherwise need full replacement, offering both cost-efficiency and structural integrity.
Once repairs were complete, our external re-decoration process included:
- Zinsser AllCoat applied to all external woodwork, providing exceptional protection against the elements while delivering a durable, high-quality finish.
- Bedec Barn Paint applied to rough sawn timber areas, ensuring excellent coverage, weather resistance and flexibility.
- Full preparation of all plastic guttering and downpipes, followed by the application of two coats of MSP (Multi Surface Paint) in a matt finish, offering a clean and modern appearance.
The Result:
